OdorGone is a water based odor neutralizer. It
contains a blend of non-toxic biodegradable botanical extracts
and surfactants that easily modify the most unpleasant odors without
heavy perfuming.
Malodors are volatile gasses that quickly permeate
the atmosphere. Most are detectable in concentrations in the part
per million range. When OdorGone Odor Absorber comes in contact
with malodors they quickly combine to form a neutral substance.
Thus, odor free conditions are restored.
OdorGone Absorber is effective
on ammonia, mercaptans, hydrogen sulfide, smoke, pet odors and
mildew just to name a few.
In both examples the malodors ammonia
and hydrogen sulfide combine with OdorGone and become harmless.
The molecule reacts with the malodor and forms a complex which
cannot break apart and the overall complex mass will fall to a
lower atmospheric level.
In many industries, it is a misconception
that industrial perfumes will contribute to eliminating odors.
Industrial perfumes, otherwise known as masking agents, simply
sit on odors and when the initial effect has worn off the odor
still exists. Masking agents also includes compounds such as aromatics,
alcohol’s, esters,
aldehydes, ketones and terpenes.
The typical odor causing molecule
derives from oxygen, water, bacteria and organic matter decomposing.
As the matter is decomposing it emits a gaseous odor—this

the odor from volatile to a less volatile state.
