Problem:
The majority of effective odor control products marketed in the recreational vehicle industry contains toxic ingredients that are harmful, even fatal, if ingested or inhaled. Organic Products Company formulated a natural product using the Histosol OP-9840 as the substrate and, by utilizing the same technology used in the product formulations for the portable toilet industry, the new product proved to be extremely effective in seven field trials. The recreational vehicle holding tests revealed that this highly concentrated product could be applied at a rate of 4 ounces per 40 gallon holding tank and still achieve outstanding odor control results. Comparable products on the market require an 8-ounce charge per 40 gallon holding tank. The "black water" which is contained in the holding tank for the toilet, was held for a period of five days in the test. The product controlled the odors remarkably well.
